Science Fair @ VILE

The final scene of Villain School features a Science Fair and what better way to bring in cross-curricular opportunities into the Production than by including actual science! Mr Gerber has been generous enough to organise the opportunity for our students to experiment with some real science as part of the scene. We will have some surprises up our sleeve so keep your eyes peeled for some colourful goings on throughout the show!

Showtime Draws Closer!

Things are really starting to come together for Villain School with sets completed, costumes looking unreal and tech starting to take shape. It has been a busy week for Cast and Crew as we welcomed back our Senior School students and entered our final five weeks of rehearsals.

Students hit the promotion trail during the week with tickets going on sale on Monday. A group of nine cast members were involved in a Q&A session with the Year 5 and 6 classes. The Junior School students were able to quiz the students on their characters, the plot of Villain School and the experience of being a part of the Production team.

On Thursday, it was time to give our cast a brush with fame as members of each order donned full costume and make up in order to undertake a Photo Shoot and Interview for an Ellenbrook Advocate feature which will be coming soon!

EXCITEMENT BUILDS AT VILE!

It has been an exciting first two weeks of term for the Middle School cast of Villain School. With the Senior Cast members focused on exams, students in Years 7, 8 and 9 have had the chance to work closely with Production staff in really honing their characters and working their evil mannerisms and characteristics into their performances. With scripts down, set complete, tech starting to be set up and costumes nearly finished, students are getting a sense that performance week is near. With six weeks to go until the Opening Matinee, students are excited and nervous and their is an air of anticipation in rehearsals.

Next week, the cast will hit the promotion trail! Several cast members will be involved in a Q&A and Behind the Scenes session with students from the Junior School and the Ellenbrook Advocate will be visiting to interview staff and students and assist in promoting the show to the Ellenbrook community.
